Honda Integra Type R (1999)
The car.......
This 1999 Integra type “R” is owned by one half of ultimate detailing, the car is renowned as the ultimate front wheel handling car ever made. In its 11 years before we owned the car was very well looked after and runs just as it should!
On this page we thought we would highlight the simplicity of keeping the car up to our standard with our new nubwax car care product!
Preparing the car

The car was acquired a back in the early part of 2010 and it wasn't long before it got the full treatment of our new wax during trails.
Starting with a full concentrated shampoo to remove any old layers of wax left on the car (we wanted to test it on its own merits), followed by a full claying session to remove any small deposits of road tar - ensuring the cars paintwork with a squeaky clean feel.
Next the paint was treated with a synthetic sealant to help bring out the shine and protect the paint that little bit more!
The wax
As the car was recently clayed (most cars benefit from this part of the process approximately every six months depending on mileage). This time we used the "light" version of the wax.
Since applying this wax to all our own vehicles we have discovered that in fact it’s best to apply when the car is wet.
This saves on an awful amount of time drying the car!
A sponge applicator is included in the tin and we find damping this before starting also helps keep the layers thin, you don’t want put to apply too much as the majority of the product just gets removed in the buffing stage.
The Buffing off!!
The wax doesn’t need to be left on the car long – so we suggest do a panel or side of the car at a time - depending of the size of your car.Use a clean and dry microfibre buffing towel to remove the wax by gently moving the towel over the polished areas. And that’s it.
Wash the car once every few weeks and simply apply the wax again and after a few layers the car will be a simple task to wash as the dirt will just come off easily!
Remember the wax can also be used on wheels, glass and plastics!
